Questions about the League
Diceman left the following questions on his comment wall. I thought they were good questions so I'm posting them here...
So should I start building cars now with my startup funds, or would it make more sense to wait until you place a call for the next event? Reason I ask is, I'd hate to build two Div 5, two Div 10, and two Div 20 cars, and then find out that the first event I want to play in called for two Div 40 cars (or for a Van!!!).
Me personally, I'm waiting until the duel is on the schedule before I build a car. For example, MIB's Shelbyville Duel (Div 30) qualifies for FACADe because there are 5 league members participating. Once all cars are in and MIB posts the walkarounds, I'll add those vehicles to the members equipment and deduct the cost from their funds.
Are the first few events going to amateur nights (Div 5 or 5-Pro)? Is the Division rating going to change greatly from one event to the next? Are there any rules-of-thumb I can use that would let me start building cars before I see the next event desciption?
Unknown. I set the League up to provide a little bit of continuity to the games being run from the forum. I'd say that your best bet is to wait until a duel is scheduled before building a car. The general rule of thumb would be what has been run at the forums in the past.
Have you decided if you are going to allow pedestrian combat for guys who jump out of their flaming wrecks (that is, should I reserve some cash for handheld weapons?)

I have a question that just popped into my head. Given how long it can take to resolve a play-by-post event, one character could be in two or more separate events at the same time. This could easily lead to paradoxes, though Gold Cross will help smooth things over. So what do we do? Have a "one character, one game" rule? Let it slide, 'cause it's just a game and I really should relax?

Hmmmmm.... That's a good one. I may hate myself for this, but...
Since we have only six characters and two of those have Gold Cross, I'd say don't worry about. If the character is playing in DUEL A hosted by Host 1 started on Februrary 1 and then Host 2 wants to run DUEL B starting on Feb 7 before Duel A is finished use the same character. I'll keep track of the logistics.
Basically, let it slide and relax. Chracter stats will only affect play when a duel is being hosted by FACADe member.
The character will still gain points in a non-member hosted duel

That's cool. I was just a little worried because I decided to make the "Rolling Derby" event at the FLAC a play-by-post, and didn't want to tie up entire teams for months.
